Changing Faces For around 7 or 8 years my parents took me to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol every few months for laser treatment on my birthmark after being on a waiting list throughout most of my childhood. While I was on this waiting list I came across a leaflet produced by a charity called"Changing Faces". My Gran had sent off for the leaflet after seeing some promotional work on television. I took some comfort from reading this knowing that there were many many people far worse off than myself. As I got older and having tried a variety of different lasers I reached a point where any gains were negligible. I felt I was taking someone elses opportunity and funding who may benefit from the treatment far more than myself.   Currently Changing Faces is a well established charity that do a lot of excellent work for people with disfigurements to their face, hands or body from any cause. It is time I gave something back so it is for this reason that some of my classes throughout the year will have all money from that session going to Changing Faces.
